Event: VCA Listens to the Youth Voices in the Netherlands

Why did we organize the event?

WWF is on a mission to make the world nature positive again. From nature loss to nature gain, as soon as possible. And youth are already frontrunners in nature and climate action across the globe. After all, it’s their future that is at stake. In the VCA program, we have seen how young people around the world are full of good ideas on how to address the climate and biodiversity crisis and are leading in mobilizing large networks to advocate for action. However, young people’s voices and ideas are often not integrated into decision-making seriously. We aim to change this by deep listening to the youth in the Netherlands, convening and facilitating their leadership, and connecting them with youth from the Global South: towards effective representation and stronger collective impact in an inclusive way.
