VR Antarctic Action Fund
During Lowlands Festival, visitors will take part in an immersive VR expedition to Antarctica. After the experience, they will have the opportunity to make a voluntary donation to WWF as one way of supporting environmental conservation. Our goal is to understand whether immersive experiences can motivate real-world pro-environmental behaviour.

We are a research team from the University of Groningen exploring whether immersive virtual reality experiences of Antarctica can inspire people to take meaningful action for the environment. As part of our Antarctic Ambassadorship Project at the Lowlands Festival, participants have the opportunity to support WWF's conservation work through a voluntary donation. Every contribution helps protect biodiversity and supports global efforts to address climate change.
